Traumatic scars and soft tissue reconstruction

Scars and soft tissue deformities are often the most painful reminder of accidents related to personal injury or product liability cases. These injured individuals require comprehensive evaluation to determine their eligibility for reconstructive procedures (surgical or otherwise) to ameliorate their residual scarring deformities. Current techniques and modalities of treatment offer a myriad of options in addressing the residual scarring. The initial treatment of many of these injuries is complicated by the unavailabity of the appropiate specialists at the time of the occurrence and by the emergency nature of these accidents. Referral to an experienced consultant would, in most cases, open a multitude of possibilities to repair and reconstruct the affected areas. Appropriate evaluations of these injuries by experienced consultants will offer additional insights into their current situation, possible future repair (if feasible and advisable), estimated costs, functional and aesthetic residuals and disabilities (if any) in order to appropriately pursue or defend a claim.
