Forensic Pathology Expert On Hazing Injuries

Forensic pathology expert Dr. Howard Oliver reviewed the autopsy findings of Robert Champion, the Florida A&M University marching band member who died of internal bleeding caused by blunt force trauma.  The medical expert, a former deputy medical examiner in the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, said that Champion’s muscles had injuries similar to car accidents, prolonged seizures, child abuse and torture.  Authorities contend his injuries were the result of a hazing ritual.
