Engineering Expert Witness On New Orleans Floodwalls

Engineering expert witness Robert Bea testified in New Orleans against Washington Group International Inc. saying the company’s excavation work weakened New Orleans flood walls and led to their failure during Hurricane Katrina.  The UC Berkeley engineering professor is a former Shell Oil executive and has spent decades investigating catastrophic engineering failures.

The case will be decided by Stanwood Richardson Duval, Jr., US District Court judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana.
