Chemcial Expert Witnesses & DuPont MDL Litigation

District Judge Edmund A.Sargus ruled that the evidence submitted by chemical expert witnesses in the MDL case against DuPont is sufficient to allow a reasonable juror to conclude that C-8  specifically caused the plaintiffs’ linked diseases.  DuPont’s West Virginia Washington Works Plant released C8, a chemical used in the manufacture of Teflon, into the air and Ohio River from the 1950s until the early 2000s. The chemical reached drinking water supplies by way of the groundwater. DuPont, founded in 1802, is the world’s fourth largest chemical company.
