Biomechanical Engineering Expert Witness On Electrocution Case

Expert witness Catherine Ford Corrigan testified on behalf of West Penn Power Company in the wrongful death case brought by the family of Carrie Goretzka.  Goretzka was electrocuted in 2009 when she came in contact with a downed power line. At issue in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County lawsuit is whether the power line fell on the victim.

Goretzka, a biomechanical engineering expert witness, is a Group Vice President of Exponent, Inc., and is responsible for the firm’s vehicle engineering, biomechanics, human factors, and statistics and data sciences practices and addresses issues involving the biomechanics of human injury.
