Behavior Health Specialist Testifies On Bullying

Veronica Altvater, a behavioral health specialist in Lutherville, Maryland, testified as an expert in the case against the Hazelwood and Glenmount, MD, school systems. The family of two students is asking for $1.3 million in damages saying that the school administrators did not follow guidelines regarding bullying.  Altvater testified regarding the boy’s emotional damage caused by the bullying behavior of other students. writes:
Bullying can happen anywhere: face-to-face, by text messages or on the web. It is not limited by age, gender, or education level. It is not a phase and it is not a joke. Bullying can cause lasting harm.
